KLYC 1260AM

KLYC is a community-oriented radio station licensed to McMinnville. The radio station signed on the air in 1949 as KMCM. Over the years, ownership has changed the call letters several times.  It evolved to KLYC, "Loving Yamhill County."

The station broadcasts on AM 1260. The signal covers Yamhill County and puts a good signal over Salem.

The format is Classic Hits, which attracts Adults listeners, 25-54 years of age. KLYC also provides local news and sports, and discussion of local issues. KLYC provides coverage of Oregon State football games, McMinnville football, and other school games when time allows.

KLYC is the only commercial radio station in Yamhill County, and after several years operating out of Indiana, the station is now back in Mac.
