BRIAN ERICKSEN

With over 20 years of experience in both education and media, this accomplished professional has mastered the craft of storytelling, whether in the classroom or behind the microphone. Since 2004, he has been a dedicated teacher in the Salem-Keizer School District, where he has sparked creativity and passion in students through courses in journalism, web design, photography, filmmaking, and more.

Brian's voice is a familiar one in the community, having hosted both morning and afternoon shows, and announced high school sports on KLYC Radio since 2000, becoming the beloved voice of the McMinnville Grizzlies. Brian has also served as an adjunct professor at Linfield College and contributed to media outlets like KEX, KPNW, and KVAL.

His impact has been recognized with accolades like the 2009 Crystal Apple Award, and multiple times as Regional and Conference Golf Coach of the Year. With a B.A. in Mass Communications from Linfield College and a Masters from Western Oregon University, he continues to blend his passions for education, sports, and media, making a lasting difference in both his students' lives and the broader community.
